Finding your way around¶
What this is for¶
All the portals share the same basic layout. Once you know it in one, you know it in all.
Who can see it¶
Everyone who signs in.
Where to find it¶
It is the frame around every screen after you sign in.
What you see¶
- The menu (left side). One item for each screen you are allowed to use. If a screen you expect is missing, your role does not include it. Some menus can be collapsed to icons to give the main area more room.
- The title bar (top). It shows the name of the screen you are on and today's date. In the Admin portal it also shows a trail such as Organizations > Create organization.
- The help icon. A round ? next to the screen title. See Using the help icon.
- The search box (Control Tower). Type to filter the orders, trips and customers on the current screen. Select the small x or press Esc to clear it.
- The notification bell. Shows new alerts for you. See Notifications.
- Your menu (top right). Your name or initials. Open it to see your profile and to sign out.
What you can do¶
- Select a menu item to open that screen.
- Use the title bar trail or your browser's back button to return.
- Use the search box to narrow what a screen shows.
- Collapse or expand the menu where the button is offered.
Popups and panels¶
Notifications¶
Select the bell to open a small list of your notifications; if there are none, it says No notifications. The expand button at the top right of that list (two arrows pointing apart) opens a larger window on its Notifications tab. The settings icon (a gear) shows your settings in the same small list; select the back arrow to return to your notifications, or the expand button to open the settings in the larger window. The larger window has two tabs on the left:
- Notifications. Every notification, newest first. Select one to mark it as read, or select Mark all as read.
- Settings. Choose how you are told by selecting the In-app, Email and Push buttons in the row at the top (a selected button is green; you can select more than one), and which topics you want, such as Order created. Each choice saves straight away.
Close the window with the ×, by selecting outside it, or by pressing Esc. What each notification means is in Notifications.

Tips¶
- The menu only lists screens you may use. It is not a fault if a colleague sees more than you do. See Roles and permissions.
- Colours on chips and dots follow one key everywhere. See the Colour key.
