Settings¶
What this screen is for¶
Platform-wide settings that apply to all organizations. Today this is the list of web addresses (called origins) that are allowed to upload files straight from a browser into organization storage. This rule is called CORS (see Glossary).
Who can see it¶
Platform administrators.
Where to find it¶
Click Settings under PLATFORM in the left menu.
What you see¶
Storage CORS origins card. One box per address, for example https://app.example.com. An address is the scheme, host and optional port with no path. Type * to allow any origin. A red message beside a box says what is wrong, such as "is empty" or "is listed twice". An Unsaved changes label shows when you have edited the list.
Apply to organizations card. Saving only stores the list. This card is where you push it to every active organization's storage. It shows a job banner with its state and, when finished, a table with Organization, Status and Detail for each organization.
What you can do¶
- Click Add origin for a new box, or Remove next to one. Removing the last box leaves one empty box.
- Click Save. You see Storage CORS saved.
- Click Discard to throw away unsaved edits.
- Click Apply to all organizations, then confirm in the popup. You see CORS apply queued, and the card follows the job.
Save is greyed out until there is a change and every address is valid. Apply to all organizations is greyed out while you have unsaved changes, and while a previous apply is still running.
Popups and panels¶
Apply CORS¶
Opens as Apply CORS to all organizations. It warns that this overwrites the rules on every active organization's storage with the saved list, and says how many origins that is. If the list is empty, it warns that browser uploads will be refused for every organization. Click Apply to go ahead or Cancel to stop.

Tips¶
- Save first, then apply. Applying uses the saved list, not what is on screen.
- An empty list followed by Apply blocks browser uploads everywhere. Check the warning before you confirm.
- Only organizations that are Active are updated.
