System

What this screen is for

Shows how this installation of the platform is set up and whether the services it depends on are working. Use it when something is not behaving and you want to know if the platform itself is healthy.

Who can see it

Platform administrators.

Where to find it

Click System under PLATFORM in the left menu. The health card at the bottom of the menu (Platform healthy, Attention needed and so on) also opens this screen.

What you see

Setting values are never shown. The page only says whether each one is present.

Environment card

  • Infrastructure: the hosting provider for this installation.
  • Environment: the name of the environment, such as production.
  • Identity provider: the sign-in service.
  • Secrets provider: where passwords and keys are kept. This store is called a vault (see Glossary).
  • Terraform state: where the infrastructure build records are stored, if used.

Infrastructure status card. A Refresh button and the time of the last check. Rows:

  • Vault: Available or Unavailable, and its provider.
  • Seal: Sealed or Unsealed. A sealed vault cannot be read.
  • Identity: whether the sign-in service is reachable, with a short detail.
  • One row for each other service this platform relies on, with its state.

Environment check card. An overall label: All required set or Missing required settings. Under it, a table for each group of settings with Variable, Required and State. A required setting that is missing is highlighted red. The states are explained in Statuses and stages.

What you can do

  1. Click Refresh to run the infrastructure checks again. It shows Checking….
  2. Read the Environment check for any red row and pass the name to whoever deploys the platform.

Popups and panels

This screen has no popups.

Tips

  • Attention needed in the menu means the vault or the identity service is not available. Check the Infrastructure status card to see which one.
  • You cannot change any setting on this screen. It only reports.
